The team at the Dragon is led by the owner Ashley Robert Nield. He purchased the building on 31 July 2007. An ex-journalist who has worked for national newspapers and magazines, he decided to return to Wales when London and the travelling life had lost their allure.
He is supported by head chef Robert Duggan, receptionist and office manager Jackie Prior and housekeeper Debbie Morris. In addition he relies on the services of a number of local people working part-time and full-time.
It's a friendly, fun atmosphere and about as far removed from a corporate hotel environment as it's possible to get.
